About the Speakers:

Kenneth J. Hedlund, CPA, CGMA

As the principal of Somerset CPAs Construction and A/E industries, Ken works closely with clients in the financial and tax areas as well as having a considerable focus in strategic management consulting.  He is a trusted advisor within the construction, architectural and engineering fields on industry best practices, operational and efficiency initiatives, and helping organizations improve/enhance their performance - primarily through the analysis of existing organizational challenges, and the development of plans for improvement and providing tools for effective execution.  Ken also has significant experience in business succession and management transition plans.

A nationally-recognized expert on the construction and A/E industries, Ken has spoken to numerous organizations about high-level management and operational strategies related to the construction and design industries.  Ken also writes for various publications, and was the 2012 recipient of the James J. Leonard Memorial Award - presented annually by the Indiana/Kentucky Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors.  


Howard M. Cox, CPA, CMA, CIA, CGMA

Launching his career with a Big Four firm in 1983, Howard established his own practice just four years later - and, in late 2001, merged his independent CPA firm into Somerset's operations.  Currently, Howard focuses on general Business Advisory, Mergers and Acquisitions and PPACA Compliance engagements, and also conducts informative presentations for clients, as well as outside events.  He is motivated to service established organizations looking to push themselves to higher levels of achievement.
